Nalas suites is located in Emporio, a medieval castle-village which in contrast to the rest of the island, remains untouched by the development in tourism. Cars of course are not allowed inside the village, however there are parking areas at a walking distance of 5-10 minutes from the suites. We stayed for 3 amazing nights in Mastio suite and we literally enjoyed every minute. The room was so clean and cozy that gave us the feeling we were the first customers staying. We appreciated small but important details such as the fully equipped kitchen with espresso machine, the excellent bathroom facilities, the always clean jacuzzi outside our room, the comfy COCO-MAT bed, the smart TV (we watched some Netflix episodes before sleep); there was even a lantern with candles which of course we used to make the night atmosphere even better. Manthos the manager, is a great and cool person who made us feel like good friends and gave us some valuable advice to spend our time (and money) in the island like locals. Friendly advice: after the sunset, grab a bottle of wine of your preference (the wine glasses are in the kitchen!) and chill in the jacuzzi staring at the Aegean sky – you will not regret it!

Η πιο όμορφη εμπειρία διακοπών. Το δωμάτιο τόσο ομορφο και προσεγμένο που δεν ήξερες αν πρέπει να βγεις έξω ή να κάτσεις να απολαυσεις το υπέροχο τζακούζι σου….
Το πρωινό πλούσιο , γευστικό,χορταστικό και κάθε μέρα διαφορετικο….
Οι άνθρωποι ευγενικοί πρόσχαροι και πάντα διαθέσιμοι για οτιδήποτε χρειαζόμουν.. Μου έδειξαν ποια μέρη πρέπει να επισκεφτώ, τι αξίζει να δω και πως να κινηθώ. Το σιγουρο είναι ότι θα επιστρέψω σύντομα για να έχω και πάλι τις πιο όμορφες, απολαυστικές, ξεκούραστες διακοπές!!!! Σας ευχαριστώ πολύ για την υπεροχη διαμονή!

I had the most lovely stay with NALAS. The room was perfect, loved the shower and in-room jacuzzi! The room is situated in the perfect location for me, in a quiet, local neighborhood near everything you need! Amazing breakfast each morning! The absolute best part was Thanos, who manages the hotel. He is kind, extremely helpful and friendly. He made amazing suggestions of where to go and what to see. I would not have had half as good an experience without him. I left feeling I have a genuine friend on the island. 200 x more than I could have expected!

We stayed in Santorini for one week.Immediately the suites seems very welcomed: in particulary we loved the bathroom, with a traditional shower. In every room there is a particular attention for the details. The bedroom offered a Tv with the access to Netflix or Youtube.The most beautiful area was the balcony with sea view. In this balcony there was a modern jacuzzi, two loungers and a little table where we enjoyed our breakfasts.
When we arrived we met Thanos, the responsable of the suites.
He was really friendly and helpful, he explained us everything about the suite and about the island, he searched for us an auto and he organized for us a lot of activities.
Thank Thanos and the beautiful suite our stay in Santorini was very beautiful, relaxing and complete!

Easily the best Airbnb experience we have ever had in our years of traveling ! Our host Thanos went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, he exceeded all of our expectations, and then some! I have never met an Airbnb host that was so hospitable and helpful! He arranged a private shuttle pickup from the airport, met us at the drop off location and then along with another worker, they carried our 4 heavy bags to the apartment (we should have picked light!!) The one and only thing was that it was a little tricky at first to figure out how to get to the apartment through the windy alleys from the parking area, but with the help of pinning the location on google maps, we figured it out pretty quickly.
The apartment was tastefully decorated, very clean and new looking. Big comfortable bed, and a separate large closet/dressing area with an additional vanity. We had breakfast outside on the upper patio area, and the jacuzzi was clean and enjoyable.
Thanos was super helpful and we cannot be more thankful for his hospitality! He delivered the cutest and most delicious breakfast to us the next morning and was just so helpful with food/restaurant recommendations, making reservations for us, and just all around so great! He was also able to get same-day reservations for us for a sunset boat tour (which was so AMAZING and relaxing), as well as making last minute arrangements to rent an atv late at night (we needed it for sunrise the next morning). Our trip to Santorini would not have been what it was if it wasn’t for Thanos and our adorable cave apartment! Can’t wait to come back!

We arrived in this suite at the end of the day after learning that our reservation at our first hotel had been cancelled and are not disappointed with our stay, on the contrary. Despite this adventure we were very well received by Thanos who immediately invited us to enjoy our holiday.
The room is located in the middle of the city of emporio (impossible to find alone) which allows to cross very pretty alleys with very typical white colors.
The room was very nice and the terrace brings a real value. Indeed the view from the terrace is beautiful. It’s very nice to have breakfast on it. Speaking of breakfast, we were surprised at the quality and quantity of it. Congratulations to everyone who prepares these baskets in the morning.
However, we must admit that we leave with a negative point of this place. It’s about tranquillity. All day and especially all night we could hear the dogs from the village barking. It’s a shame especially when you want to rest from your day of visit.
Finally, a big thank you to Thanos which is definitely one of the best memories of this stay and the reason why we enjoyed this place so much. We already miss his kindness, his smile, and his good advice from the island. Every day was a pleasure to meet him, to talk with him about our day and places to visit. He always took the time to talk to us when his days were busy. Don’t hesitate to trust him on the recommendations of place or place to visit. He is a true enthusiast who loves his job and people. I hope to see him again in France !

We have just stayed at Nala’s suites in their Cortina room for 5 nights and we have to say it was the best hotel/accommodation we have ever stayed in.

We were a bit nervous as we knew Emporio wasn’t the most accessible location in Santorini and also that the hotel was very new and hadn’t got any reviews yet. However we were instantly relieved when we arrived. The hotel had emailed us to arrange a transfer and as soon as we got off the transfer two gents met us and guided us through the pedestrian town carrying our bags for us.

Thanos, the hotel concierge, was very friendly, passionate and informative and instantly started telling us about Santorini and the spots we should go and see. He provided so much information and answered all our questions from bus times to history of the city. As the hotel was so new he asked us sincerely about our stay and any improvements we could think of (we didn’t have any!). Thanos also took the time to drive us to a wedding as he believed a transfer wouldn’t be worth the money for how close the destination was!

The room itself was incredibly well thought out and comfortable and while it didn’t have toiletries it had a fantastic hair dryer with a diffuser, smart tv, tea and coffee facilities, air con and a large fridge. The sheets and towels were luxurious and kept well making the room feel like a treat and there was a maid service everyday but they waited for us to leave rather than knocking early.

Our private terrace was fantastic with a stunning view, comfortable loungers and a lovely table for breakfast. The hot tub was beautiful and could be treated as a plunge pool as well, kept at the perfect temperature for dipping in the day and soaking in the evening. It was well maintained everyday by the maintenance man who while didn’t speak much English was polite and smiley.

Breakfast was brought to us in a gorgeous picnic basket every morning at a time we requested. It always had fresh juice, milk, two types of fresh bread, two fruit salads, condiments and then a selection of different pastries or treats that differed everyday. We had so much that a lot of the time we would save some of the breakfast in the fridge to eat later in the day.

Emporio was a typical Greek village away from the tourist fray. While a little shabby round the edges it was lovely to stay somewhere authentic and real unlike areas such as Kamari. There was a bus very close to the hotel that was regular and took us straight in to Fira where we could get connecting buses to all the major villages and towns. Thanos provided us with all the information we needed to get from place to place and also offered to book us any other tours or travel needs we had.

Overall we had a fantastic time and couldn’t fault anything with our stay. The staff were attentive and friendly and the room was just magical especially for the price. We had a really great time and the Greek people were so welcoming and kind, definitely all having a great sense of humour. We have already talked about staying at Nala’s again in the future just for the room, not Santorini itself.
